We’re thrilled to introduce the latest initiative from the Taylor Bennett Foundation – the Step into PR Virtual Insight Programme.
This brand-new initiative is specially crafted to engage and inspire individuals aged 16 and above from diverse backgrounds, including Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities.
The ‘Step into PR’ Programme is an exciting, dynamic 5-day virtual insights program aimed at equipping young participants with invaluable skills and boosting their confidence. It’s also an opportunity to explore potential career paths within the PR industry.
This initiative serves as an introduction to the world of PR and Communications, dispelling the misconception that a formal degree is a needed for entering this industry.
Participants in this program will acquire a range of essential skills, including teamwork, presentation, time management, networking, and personal development.
While prior experience is not a requirement, there are some prerequisites for participation. Applicants must:
- Belong to a Black, Asian, or minority ethnic background.
- Be either a school leaver or currently in Year 12 or Year 13.
- Have a genuine interest in learning about careers in Public Relations (PR) and communications.
- Be able to commit fully to the virtual program.
- Possess enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Please note that the application deadline is set for October 13, 2023. Following this, selected applicants will be invited for a brief virtual interview to discuss their interest in the program in greater detail.
The Step into PR virtual program spans five days and is scheduled to run from October 23rd to October 27th.
